Top Class Care in Top Class Surroundings

Duffryn Ffrwd Manor comprises two Homes. A Nursing Home which was opened in 1996 and a purpose built Residential Care Home opened in 2000. The Manor is a grade 2 listed building, located on the border of Cardiff, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf. We are five minutes from junction 32 of the M4, with easy access to the A470. 

The Home is set in three acres of woodland. There are wheelchair friendly walkways leading to two pond areas and seating areas for picnic. The grounds comprise 3 acres of beautiful woodland alive

with the colour of ancient Oaks, giant Poplars and a Weeping Willow. There are walkways through the grounds and a relaxing pond area.  On your strolls you may come across our new addition, to the Nursing Home, Harvey the rabbit or when over in the Residential Home, you may find Kitty the cat curled up amongst the books or showing our residents how much she likes to see them.

To ensure every enquiry is handled promptly and efficiently, we have dedicated Finance and Administration teams available to support residents and their families with any questions or requests. In addition, our experienced in-house Maintenance team works proactively to ensure the home and its facilities are maintained to the highest standard.

A comprehensive laundry service is provided for all residents' clothing and personal items. While we are unable to offer a dry-cleaning service, we are happy to advise on suitable local providers if required.

We have Activity Coordinators in both homes who organise various events including artists, bingo, fetes, day trips and more. All residents and their families are encouraged to participate in the activities.

Meetings are held for residents and relatives to enable suggestions and any concerns to be voiced.

Visiting professionals include Chiropodists, Opticians, Dentists, Hairdressers, a local Vicar and local GPs who all contribute to the total care of our residents. 

Our on site Chef and kitchen team work closely with residents to ensure nutritional menus are created that suit individual's tastes and dietary requirements.

'Around the world' theme days are held regularly where residents are able to taste food from around the world. This is of course optional as non themed meals are also provided.
