Duffryn Ffrwd Manor Nursing and Residential Home opened in 1996 and is a dual registered Care Home with 40 beds, 36 single and 2 double bedrooms. We are registered for 40 nursing beds, 10 of which can be used for residential care. We offer general nursing care and residential care on a long term, short term or daily respite basis.
The Registered Manager of the Home is Mrs Gemma Wilson - RGN who has been the Manager of the Home since 2015. Gemma is assisted by Deputy Manager Elaine Williams - RGN. The Manager, Deputy Manager and qualified nursing staff work alongside a dedicated team of care staff, many of whom have the CQC Level II qualification in Caring.
There are two lounges and a dining room all with pleasing outlooks over the gardens. There is plenty of outdoor space with a patio seating area. The kitchen staff consult with the residents as to their food preferences and produce varied, tasty, nutritional meals including the 'Around the World ' themed menus.
Our Activities Coordinators work hard to stimulate and entertain our residents and encourage family involvement in the various events throughout the year such as fetes, family fun days, birthdays etc. Excursions on the Company minibus have become a huge hit with our residents offering trips to the seaside, to theatrical performances and much more.
