Duffryn Ffrwd Manor Residential Home
Duffryn Ffrwd Manor Residential Home was purpose built and opened in 2000. The Home has 52 rooms registered, 10 of these can be used by residents with the diagnosis of Dementia. Our residential care is also offered on a long term, short term or daily respite basis.
The Registered Manager of the Home is Mrs. J Thomas who has been with us since the Home opened. As Manager Mrs Thomas works alongside a dedicated team of Care staff and an Activities Coordinator.
Duffryn Ffrwd Manor Residential Home is positioned to make the most of our stunning surrondings. Most of the rooms at the back of the Home overlook the pond and woodland area. These are what we call Dingle rooms and are fitted with beautiful Juliet balconies to capture the amazing views.
The Home has beautiful, semi - circular, day and dining rooms and a balcony that all take in the breathtaking views over the Dingles and across to the Garth mountain. There is a lovely patio area with raised flower beds that Residents can enjoy and participate in gardening.
The Manager and her Staff ensure that the respect and dignity of our Residents is maintained alongside their individuality and independence. Residents are treated with the same care and diligence that we ourselves would expect. Our Activities Coordinators are extremely enthusiastic and are continually coming up with new ideas to stimulate and entertain our Residents and actively encourages them and their relatives to participate in the daily activities.
Our 'Around the World' themed menu days have been a great success and the Residents thoroughly enjoy the Fish and Chips Film evenings.
